Good morning! I live in Greenville, and I have been looking for a place to buy fresh raw goats milk. I had it years ago when I frequented a farm, and the Myenburg brand that you get from the market just doesn’t compare! I would like to give your farm a try. What hours are you open for business, or does that vary from day to day?
Hello Hannah Joy
Myenburg I think is condensed/reconstituted, and it “loses something in the translation.” Ours is fresh and raw. Unfortunately, our does are now bred and dried off. This downtime also gives us a little break from 2X/day milking in the cold of winter. Our does are due in March, and shortly thereafter, we will be back in production. Check back with us then, and we’ll update you on availability. Thanks for writing!
We had to close the dairy in order to have time to care for elderly parents. You can purchase raw goats milk from Possum Kingdom Dairy. They sell milk through the Swamp Rabbit Cafe and Grocery in Greenville, and through the Grain Loft in Spartanburg. They may have other locations as well. Contact Possum Kingdom through their website. Their milk is quite good.
Hi Frank, We make cheese, but we are not authorized to sell it. If you google goat milk cheese in SC you should find all the sources in our state. Spinning Spider Farm in North Carolina has lots of varieties as well.
